Product Description

Indulge in the timeless tradition of English Breakfast tea, a robust black tea blend with a rich imperial history. Popularized by Queen Victoria herself, this hearty blend delivers a full-bodied, satisfying cup that pairs perfectly with milk and sugar in the classic British style.

Our authentic blend harkens back to the original 1843 recipe created by an American tea merchant, combining select black teas from historic tea regions across the former British Empire—China, India (Darjeeling and Assam), and Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Reintroduced to America by the British East India Company, English Breakfast remains one of the world's most beloved tea traditions.

Hand-packaged in our signature matte black tea tin featuring exclusive Marston House Museum artwork, this elegant container preserves freshness while making a beautiful addition to your kitchen or a thoughtful gift for tea enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

About English Breakfast Tea

English Breakfast tea emerged in the 1840s, notably gaining popularity when an American tea merchant created the blend in 1843. While initially formulated with Chinese teas, the blend evolved as the British Empire expanded, incorporating leaves from India's Darjeeling and Assam regions and Ceylon (modern Sri Lanka).

The name "English Breakfast" reflects its traditional role as a morning beverage, robust enough to complement a full English breakfast and provide an energizing start to the day. Queen Victoria's fondness for the blend secured its place in tea history, making it a staple in households around the world.
